Hi everyone, I recently joined this board.

A couple of months ago I launched a website called March of Man. The project was inspired by some of the shortcomings of Zallinger's famous "March of Progress" illustration. Namely, it doesn't show phylogenetic branching, geographic distribution, individual variation, females, juveniles, seniors, invalids, etc.

The goal of the website is to collect hundreds of illustrations of hominins (humans, chimpanzees, and all descendants of our last common ancestor), then arrange them in vast collages that show the full picture of human evolution. So far there are a dozen or so images in the database (mostly my own)-- there's a long way to go.

I'm looking for help in two capacities:
Artists: Anyone interested in illustrating humans, chimpanzees, bonobos, and our extinct relatives, please read through the F.A.Q. and sign up.
Experts: Paleoanthropology is not my main area of expertise. I've written a sort of "field guide", but I've probably gotten a few things wrong. If anyone wants to offer corrections, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I uploaded a collage generated by March of Man (click to see more information and other sizes):

Still much work left to do!
