No doubt. When you have two normally opposed "camps" (Malde et al. and Waters et al.) agreeing on an issue, bias is minimized. However, where's the footprint antagonist? Gonzalez claims these impressions are footprints:

Remember Renne also dated the Hueyatlaco Ash at 1.1mya. The Hueyatlaco Ash overlies strata that have produced some mighty fine artifacts.
