Hello all, I have not been posting on palanth for a while. Please excuse the absence which has been due to a combination of factors, such as being in Malta with my fiancee for two weeks where, amongst other things, we were at an archaeology conference which she presented to. I've also begun my Masters degree and as can be imagined that is taking up quite a lot of my time.

I have an African archaeology essay question coming up which I believe will interest some participants here:

"Stone tools have been used as cognitive/chronological, cultural/ethnic and functional/environmental indicators in African prehistory. Consider the problems associated with each of these interpretative approaches."

I am hoping to have a draft copy ready in two weeks time. If I uploaded it in pdf format to my site, would it be possible to discuss the contents here ?

Mikey,

No problem. As long as the material you want to post -- it would be placed in the "Background & Complementary Information" Board -- is clearly "free" of rights. The best way to do this is to send it at: material@palanth.com. We'll take it from there, and you are certainly welcome to post additional comments  and/or questions in some other appropriate Board. I suggest the "Prehistory" one.

Looking forward to reading your essay.

Hi Jacques,

I was thinking of uploading it to my website and providing the link to it, but thanks for your offer. I've made a note of which category. It'll be free of rights as it'll be my own work and, anyways, I'd be jumped upon by my lecturer if it wasn't ;-)
