All,

Anyone login in will notice that a few changes have been made to the Forum Boards. Some names have been changed, new boards have been added, and their order of presentation is somewhat more logical than what we had previously. This, in no way affects what has already been posted.

Which brings me to an important issue that I'll  call the "drifting thread" or "topical drift" syndrome which, a some of you know, was a prominent and annoying feature of Yahoogroups' Palanth-l. While there is, undertandably, a lot of overlap between some of these categories, there is nevertheless a need to avoid potential chaos and to try target the essential content of your posts to  the appropriate/relevant  Boards. This will make life much easier for the moderators and will also allow for more efficient search capabilities.

All,

You will notice that a new Board has been added to the Forum. Called Geology and Geomorphology, it is to be judiciously used for discussions that focus primarily on geological and geomorphological issues that, through time, affected our evolutionary history (e.g., sea level changes, glacial advances, the formation of the Rift, etc.).
