Friends,

It must be the week for ancient DNA news stories, this exploration from the upper body, specifically they claim to have samples of DNA from 60-64,000 year old bison, horse, and humans..... and that protected by keratin, the samples are "much less degraded" and therefore less likely to be contaminated than bone and teeth samples.

Thanks for ferreting out those stories.  They are both *very* interesting. And they might affect the future course of ancient genetic research.
