All,

It's that time of year again when all the journals at ScienceDirect begin to change their free complimentary issues.  In this case, it's Quaternary International,
Volumes 126-128, (2005)
Studying Proboscideans: knowledge, Problems and Perspectives. Selected papers from @'The world of Elephants@' Congress, Rome
Edited by M.R. Palombo, M. Mussi, P. Gioia and G. Cavarretta.

Available with all articles free (including one co-authored by Jacques) at:

Dar,

Well, you beat me to this one. I just picked it up on my browser, an hour ago, and was quite surprised to find out that the whole issue was finally available and "free". Not a bad timing, considering that the actual “Elefanti” congress was held in Rome in the Fall of 2001.

In this regard, it should be mentioned that the actual (original) proceedings of the congress –- which are “distilled”, as it were, in the present QI issue -- were mentioned earlier in the Forum (HERE), and that these are still accessible (HERE)

Also, it is certainly worth mentioning, for the record, that one of the editors of this important QI issue, i.e., Margherita Mussi, happens to be a member of the Forum as well as of PALANTH’s editorial committee.

Finally, I should note that information on the next “proboscidian” meeting is now circulating and can be found HERE.

Jacques
