All,

Since there is very little palaeoanthropological gossip floating around these days (!), I thought some of you could be interested in the following:

Just received from Springer (via snailmail) the announcement shown in the attached image.

I haven’t had time to check out what is actually new and available, but a few of the journals’ titles suggest that some exploration might be warranted -- as long as this offer will last --  for people who have difficulties accessing libraries (in the flesh or online). For the actual URL click HERE.

Good luck.

Jacques,

For some unknown reason your click "HERE" takes me to:

http://www.springeronline.com%3Cbr%20/>

which, of course, is nowhere.  I did check out the springer.com webpages and was informed that Springer has acquired all the former Klewer publications (including Journal of World Prehistory, which is listed on the notice you attached).  However, all I can find that is free are the free online sample issues (one free sample per journal), which is what always has been available.  Am I missing something else which is being offered in this "SPRING(er) special?"

Regards,
Dar

Dar,

My apologies. Clearly, I didn't check the URL. The damage has been repaired and the "HERE" is now functional. Clicking on it will take you directly to the "Special Offer". Apparently, it is valid for two months, following registration (I'm not sure about the latter).

Thanks very much.  That worked wonderfully and I'm signed up until May 15.

Dar and Jacques:

I signed up too, just to see what there was.
