L Gilbert et al have published a paper "Evaluation of the Olduvai subchron in the Orce ravine  [SE Spain].Implications for the Plio-Pleistocene mammal biostratigraphy and the age of Orce archaeological sites"[Quaternary Science Reviews 25 {2006} 507-525].
They conclude that "Owing to the similarity in the faunal association, together with the presence of A. pliocaenicus, the age of the Vienta Micena and the Orce ravine are slightly younger than Dmanisi and thus corresponds to the post-Olduvai part {Clr.2r] of the Matuyama chron".
If their analysis is valid, this is a significant revision.Sent a PDF of the article to Dar and Jacques.Did not post it,because there could be a copyright consideration.

Thanks for the file Bob,

I haven't read the paper yet, but I did correct your spelling of Orce (you posted it "Ocre") in the subject title to save confusion in the search modes.
